The initial date that we had picked for our now Annual fly-fishing lesson in June was also the worst Sunday weatherwise, and for safety reasons was cancelled. 30th July was the rearranged date and although there was strong winds, water level was ideal. It gave us an opportunity to try out our new spey casts.
Our instructors for the day were Damien O’Brien & Brian Mohally, all the way down from Cork. Both are members of “Game Angling Instructors Association” (GAIA)
Majority of the attendees were present for the previous years classes and really got a lot more out of the session. The ratio of “students” to instructors was 3:1 which helped also.
Once again we would like to thank Damien and Brian for the mornings session.
